With the HeidelbergCARD, the Heidelberg Convention and Visitors Bureau offers visitors a chance to see all of Heidelberg’s most loved attractions for a fraction of the cost. The perfect starting place for discovering the city of Heidelberg, the HeidelbergCARD is your source for seeing many attractions and events, either free of charge or at a discounted rate. It includes free bus and tram transportation, a city guide and magazine, a Castle ticket for the funicular railway to the Castle and free admission to Castle courtyard, barrel cellar and German Pharmacy Museum, as well as discounts to many shops and restaurants.

Pass Versions

1 Day Pass

Valid until midnight of the day of issue.

2 Day Pass

Valid on the day of issue and until midnight of the following day.

4 Day Pass

Valid from the day of issue until midnight of the fourth day.

Family Pass

Valid on the day of issue and until midnight of the following day for a family of 2 adults and (up to) 3 children under 16 years of age, or 1 adult and (up to) 4 children under 16 years of age.

Castle ticket

You also get the Castle ticket with your HeidelbergCARD. This ticket lets you combine a trip on the funicular railway with a tour of the famed Heidelberg Castle. So, lean back and enjoy the environmentally friendly ride up the mountain from the lower terminus (Talstation Kornmarkt). Your Castle ticket includes the ride to and from the Castle on one of Germany’s most advanced electricpowered funicular railways, admission to the Castle courtyard and the giant wine vat in the Fasskeller and admission to the German Pharmacy Museum.

Free use of public transport in Heidelberg

The HeidelbergBeWelcomeCARD allows its holder to ride on the city’s VRN metro buses, trams and authorized trains (Deutsche Bahn: 2nd class seats on RE, RB and S-Bahn trains) in the greater Heidelberg area (Heidelberg “Wabe 125” fare zone) during the period shown.
